Using Enviroscan and TriScan Sensors on the PI Bus

Sentek Enviroscan and TriScan? probes are measuring volumetric soil moisture and conductivity in multiple depths. Enviroscan or Easy-Ag? are accurate and good to install multiple depth sensors for volumetric soil moisture. They can be used in all soils. TriScan? is able to measure conductivity or salinity in sandy soils. This can be used to monitor the move of N-fertilisers in the soil of nitrogen intensive crops in susceptible environments. The Pessl Instruments Sensor Bus supports the Sentek sensors with a small intelligent node which can carry two Enviroscan or TriScan? sensor with up to 10 depth each. Do to the relative high power uptake of these systems every node has its own solar power supply. On iMETOS2 PCBs several of these nodes can be in one line and with this it can collect high numbers of soil moisture sensors and transmits this data to the web server.
